Privacy Policy

Last updated 17 October 2026. This is the version for ABIREH's first test with a small group of people.

In short

ABIREH is a free app that shows sale items from Pakistani fashion brands. We sell nothing ourselves: you buy on the brand's own website. To show you deals that suit you, the app records what you do in it, but only after you agree. We never see what you type on a brand's site, we don't sell your data, and you can stop recording or delete your data at any time under Account.

Who runs ABIREH

What we record

Nothing is recorded until you tick "I agree" on the first screen. After that:

• A random ID for your phone. The app makes it itself. We never ask for your name, phone number, email or address, and you need no account.
• What you do in the app: the items shown to you, what you open and for how long, how far you scroll, the photos you swipe, the colour and size you pick, and what you filter, sort, save, hide and add to your bag, with the time and the price shown. Filters include the sizes you pick; these are kept against the random ID only.
• Your searches. When you press Search or tap a suggestion, we keep the words and how many items were found. While you are typing, the letters go to our server so it can suggest words; it answers and keeps nothing. People sometimes type personal things into a search box, so please keep that in mind.
• On the way to a brand's checkout: which steps you reach, the shape of each checkout page's address (with order and customer codes removed), how long the page was open, and whether the brand's thank-you page opened. When an order is detected we record an estimate of its value: our own sum of the item prices we sent to the brand, never a number read from the brand's page.
• Your phone's system and the app's version, to find faults.

What stays on your phone only

Your last 8 searches, the last 20 products you opened ("Recently viewed"), and "Your orders", including the link to a brand's order page. These are never stored on our server. To show today's prices for "Recently viewed", the app sends those product numbers to our server, which answers and keeps nothing.

What we never see or record

• Anything you type on a brand's site: your name, address, phone number, card or wallet details, passwords.
• What is shown on the brand's pages.
• The brand's cookies. They stay on your phone.
• Your contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, or which other apps you have.
• What you do in any other app or browser.

What we use it for

1. Showing you items closer to your taste.
2. Counting how many orders ABIREH sends to each brand, as totals.
3. Telling brands which styles are in demand, from groups of at least 100 shoppers, never one person.
4. Finding faults and stopping misuse.

We don't use your data for anything else without asking you first.

Who else sees something

• Brands. Product photos load straight from each brand's own photo server, so that server sees your phone's internet address and type, as it would for any visitor to its site. When you open a brand's website or checkout, you are on the brand's site and its own privacy policy applies. Brands get totals from us, never anything about you.
• Cloudflare carries the connection between the app and our server and protects it from attacks. It sees your internet address to do that.
• OVHcloud hosts our server in Singapore, where the data is stored.
• Cloudflare R2 holds our daily backup copies. They are locked (encrypted) before they leave our server.

We don't use advertising networks or outside tracking tools, and we never sell or share one person's data with anyone.

How long we keep it

• What you do in the app: up to 2 years, then deleted.
• Saved items, hidden items and your bag: until you remove them or use "Delete my data".
• Backup copies: 30 days.
• To stop misuse, our server counts requests per phone and per internet address for a short time; these counts expire within a day. We keep no list of shoppers' internet addresses.

Your choices

• Say no at the start. Nothing is recorded before you agree.
• Stop recording later. Under Account, Your privacy, switch off "Use my activity for better picks". The app then stops recording what you view, search and browse. Saves, hides, your bag, the way to a brand's checkout and orders are still recorded, so those features keep working.
• Delete my data. Under Account. Our server deletes your saved items, hidden items and bag. Your past activity is cut loose from your phone: it is kept only under a new random ID that nobody can trace back to you. The app then forgets everything on your phone and starts like a new install.
• Ask us. Write to privacy@abireh.com to ask what we hold about your phone's ID, or for anything else. We answer within 30 days.

Keeping it safe

The app talks to our server only over a secure (https) connection. Our server accepts no direct web traffic: it is reached only through Cloudflare. Backups are encrypted, and only the person who runs ABIREH holds the key.

Age

ABIREH is for people aged 18 and over.

Changes

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change affects what we record or why, the app tells you and asks again before it applies.

Law

This policy is governed by the laws of Pakistan. Wherever you live, you can contact us about your data.
